EXPORT QUARANTINE SERVICE
To ensure the highest quality of livestock delivered to our customers, BeefGen operates its own purpose-built quarantine facility dedicated to export operations.
Established in 2017, this facility has successfully managed the export of over 500,000 head of cattle to various countries over the past decade. Equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced handling systems, it enables us to implement customised feeding and management programs tailored to each customer’s specific requirements.

The fine-pasture quarantine facility is located in Victoria, Australia, with convenient access to the major export ports of Portland, Adelaide, and Geelong.
Spanning more than 1,600 acres, the property includes approximately 1,000 acres dedicated to agistment and 600 acres purpose-built for quarantine operations.
The facility is designed to accommodate over 10,000 heifers in a single consignment, ensuring large-scale export capability. Purpose-built for international livestock exports, it features a fully automated cattle drafting and handling system that enhances both operational efficiency and animal welfare.
Over the years, the quarantine depot has successfully managed the export of hundreds of thousands of quality livestock to destinations worldwide, earning its reputation as one of Australia’s most trusted and reliable quarantine facilities.
Fantastic Yards and Loading Ramps
The quarantine facility features state-of-the-art yards and loading ramps designed with both efficiency and animal welfare in mind. The yards are spacious, well-drained, and built for smooth cattle flow, allowing low-stress handling and efficient drafting. The loading ramps are purpose-engineered for export operations, offering adjustable heights to accommodate various truck and vessel deck levels. Non-slip surfaces, wide entry angles, and solid side panels ensure the safe and calm movement of livestock during loading and unloading. Every detail of the yard and ramp system reflects our commitment to safety, efficiency, and the highest animal-handling standards in the live export industry.
Curved Race with Five-Way Drafting System
Equipped with a large curved race integrated with a five-way hydraulic drafting system, the facility is purpose-built for precision livestock management. The curved design promotes natural cattle flow, reducing stress and improving safety during handling. The hydraulic drafting system enables quick and accurate separation of animals into up to five different groups, based on weight, health, or breeding criteria.
This modern system allows smooth, low-stress operations and can be efficiently managed by a small team, ensuring optimal throughput and high standards of animal welfare throughout pre-export preparation. The yard is also equipped with high-quality lighting systems, enabling safe and efficient operations at all times and maintaining excellent workplace health and safety standards.

With extensive pasture areas and reliable feed and water systems, we can accommodate livestock of various classes and ensure they are well cared for under professional management.
